Embracing life

It's a great life, if we don't weaken. ~Rita Pope

Whenever we find ourselves facing troubles my mother will say "it's a great life, if we don't weaken." This somewhat quirky saying, among the many gems in her repertoire, serves as a reminder to cultivate strength, resolve, and resilience during life's inevitable trials.

Life's challenges are an important part of our journey, and this saying teaches us to embrace them with open arms. This saying becomes a compass, pointing us towards a great life by navigating challenges with resilience and determination. Eleanor Roosevelt once wisely said "the purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience."

I find solace in these words, and I hope you do too. It's a great life, indeed, if we face adversities with enough determination to emerge stronger and more prepared for the richness life has to offer.
