Begin anywhere

Begin anywhere

Start anywhere, with whatever is in front of you. The key is to begin - and to trust that as long as you're putting one foot in front of the other, eventually you'll get to where you need to, or at the very least, much farther than you had initially imagined. ~Geetanjali Mukherjee

This week has been quite the whirlwind. My partner and I just moved and I'm faced with the realization that we now have lots of empty rooms that need decorating and some that need full on renovations. It can feel overwhelming to think of the work ahead.

We're in no real rush to finish everything but we do want to feel settled. As we navigate the process of decorating and renovating, I'm reminded that progress is achieved one step at a time. The starting point doesn't have to be perfect; the key is to begin. After that comes a series of decisions, big and small, that will contribute to the gradual transformation of our space.

I am confident that viewing these steps as part of a journey to craft a space that's uniquely ours, will help us navigate the process, room by room. Embracing the wisdom of John Cage to 'begin anywhere,' I trust that, once we embark on this journey, our efforts will unfold a narrative much richer and fulfilling than we could have imagined.
